What it is
Switzerland's Federal Statistical Office publishes the year-on-year change in consumer prices. Swiss inflation has been among the lowest in the developed world, frequently hovering near the bottom of the Swiss National Bank's 0-2% target band.
Why it matters to traders
With inflation already at rock-bottom, soft prints keep pressure on the SNB to hold or cut rates and to lean against an overly strong franc, which the central bank views as importing deflation.
