Some of what you see on FXMARE is paid for. Brokers and other brands can sponsor placements and content — that is part of how we fund a free site. This policy sets out exactly what counts as sponsored, how we label it so you are never misled, and the strict wall we keep between anyone who pays us and our independent broker ratings and rankings. The short version: money buys visibility, never a verdict.
“Sponsored content” and “sponsored placements” mean any space, unit or piece of content where a third party has paid — in money or other consideration — for placement, prominence or distribution on FXMARE. We use the term broadly so there is no grey area. It includes, for example:
By contrast, our reviews, ratings, comparison tables, news, analysis and tools are editorial — we decide what goes in them, and no one pays to appear there. Where a relationship is commercial in any way, this policy and our labelling apply.
We never disguise paid content as independent editorial. Every sponsored unit carries a clear, visible label so you can tell at a glance who paid for it. Depending on the format you will see a Sponsored badge or an “Ad” / “Advertisement” marker on or next to the content.
rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute, in line with search-engine and advertising guidance. This sits alongside our broader Advertising Disclosure and Affiliate Disclosure, which explain how display ads and tracked broker links are marked across the site.
The single most important rule in this policy is the firewall between sponsorship and editorial. Paying FXMARE never buys a higher rating, and never buys a position in our unpaid rankings. Sponsorship and advertising are handled separately from the people who research and rate brokers, and commercial relationships are kept out of the rating process entirely.
A broker's star rating and its place in our independent comparison tables are determined solely by our published criteria — regulation, costs, platforms, execution, product range, support and more. Whether that broker is a paying sponsor, an affiliate partner, or has no commercial relationship with us at all makes no difference to that score or rank.
You can verify exactly how scores and rankings are produced in our Broker Review Methodology, and you can see how sponsorship fits into our wider revenue model — and why it cannot move ratings — in How We Make Money.
To make the firewall concrete, here is what a sponsor is and is not buying when it pays for a placement on FXMARE.
In short, a sponsor controls its own paid message inside a labelled unit. It does not control our independent verdict, and it cannot reach into the editorial process described in our Editorial Policy.
Being a sponsor does not lower the bar — if anything it commits a broker to the same scrutiny as everyone else. We will not run a sponsored placement for a broker we would not be comfortable listing on editorial grounds. At a minimum, a sponsored broker must:
A sponsorship that fails to meet these standards is declined or pulled, regardless of the fee involved. Acceptance of a placement is never an endorsement that the broker is right for you — see our broker comparison for independent, methodology-based assessments.
Sponsored content sits on a high-risk site, and our risk and disclosure obligations do not pause because something is paid for. On and around sponsored material we apply the same rules as the rest of FXMARE:
Our full risk statement is set out in the Risk Disclosure, which applies to sponsored content just as it does to our editorial pages.
FXMARE is only worth using if you can trust it. Sponsorship helps keep the site free, but it is never allowed to compromise the honesty of what we publish. To you, the reader, we commit that:
If you ever see a placement that looks like it crosses these lines, please tell us — holding us to this policy keeps it meaningful.
Interested in sponsoring a placement, or have a question about how we handle sponsored content? Email our partnerships team at [email protected]. You can find formats, audience information and our standards on the advertise with us page, or reach the wider team through our contact page. Submitting a request does not guarantee a placement — every sponsorship is subject to the standards in this policy.
