Delete Specific Data
You can remove data from FXMARE without closing your account — individual trades, a whole journal account, chart screenshots, or things you posted publicly. Your login, email address and everything you choose to keep stay exactly as they are. If you want the account gone as well, use Delete your account.
On this page
1.Delete it yourself
Most data is yours to remove directly, in the app or on the website. Deletion is immediate and needs no approval from us.
- A single trade
- Open the trade in your journal and choose Delete. The entry and any screenshots attached to it are removed immediately.
- A whole journal account
- Journal → Accounts → choose the account → Delete. This removes that account and every trade recorded against it. If you would rather keep the history but hide it, use Archive instead.
- A forum post or thread
- Open your post and choose Delete. Deleting a thread you started also removes the replies beneath it.
- A broker review or complaint
- Open it from the broker’s page and choose Delete.
- Sign-in sessions on other devices
- Changing your password from Account settings ends every other session immediately.
2.Ask us to delete it
For anything you cannot reach yourself — a bulk clear-out of your whole journal, data tied to a device you no longer have, or a post you can no longer find — email [email protected] from your registered address with the subject Delete my data, and say what you want removed. Be specific where you can: “all trades before January 2026” is faster to action than “my old stuff”.
We will confirm what we are about to delete before we do it, so nothing goes further than you intended. We never ask for your password.
3.What you can remove
- Trading-journal data
- Individual trades or all of them: instrument, direction, entry and exit, size, profit and loss, fees, stops, risk, duration, session, setup, ratings, tags, mistakes and your private notes.
- Trade screenshots
- Any or all chart images you attached.
- Journal accounts
- Any trading account you created, active or archived, and the trades under it.
- Public contributions
- Forum threads and replies, broker reviews, complaints and complaint comments.
- Profile details
- Your display name and, if you linked Google sign-in, your profile-picture URL. Ask us to unlink Google entirely and we will remove the Google identifier from your account — set a password first, or you will not be able to sign in.
4.What cannot be removed on request
Some data cannot go while the account stays open, because the account cannot function without it.
- Your email address and login credentials
- These areyour account — there would be no way to sign in, or to prove the account is yours. Removing them means deleting the account, which you can do at any time from Delete your account.
- Records we are required to keep
- Where tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or an unresolved legal claim requires it, we keep the minimum record for as long as that obligation lasts, and use it for nothing else.
- Server logs and aggregate analytics
- Not tied to your account record and not searchable by it, so we cannot single yours out. They age out on their normal schedule — see Privacy Policy § 9.
5.How long it takes
- Deleting it yourself
- Immediate, and permanent. There is no recycle bin and no undo.
- By email request
- Within 30 days, usually a few business days. That is the GDPR maximum, not a target.
- Backups
- Database backups roll on a 30-day cycle and are then overwritten, so deleted data may persist in an encrypted backup until its cycle expires. Backups are only ever used to restore the service after a failure.
6.Get a copy first
Deletion is permanent, so export anything you might want later before you remove it. You can export your journal from Journal → Reports, or ask [email protected] for a full copy of your data — a right you have under GDPR and CCPA, which we answer within 30 days.
7.Questions
Email [email protected] or use our contact page. Our full Privacy Policy sets out everything we collect and why.
