Securitize, a firm that specializes in putting traditional financial assets onto blockchains, has introduced a new product called Securitize Stocks. It gives eligible investors exposure to tokenized versions of shares in 12 US-listed companies, with the offering going live first on the Solana network.
According to wire reports on the launch, each token is backed one-to-one by an actual share of the underlying company. That structure is meant to keep the economic and governance rights of ordinary share ownership intact, so holders retain dividend entitlements and voting rights rather than holding a purely synthetic price exposure.
The initial lineup includes well-known names such as Nvidia, Apple and Amazon, along with Strategy, the company known for its large bitcoin holdings. Coverage of the release described the group as the starting set of 12 names, rather than a final list.
Settlement for the product is handled in USDC, the dollar-pegged stablecoin, according to the reporting reviewed by FXMARE. Using a stablecoin for payment is a common design choice in tokenized-asset products, as it lets trades settle on the blockchain without moving through conventional cash rails.
The company has also outlined plans to widen how and where the tokens can trade. Reports point to round-the-clock trading as a goal, which would extend access beyond the regular hours of traditional stock exchanges. Additional venues are planned too, with the NYSE and an OKX-ICE venue named among them. The sources do not provide a timeline for those additions.
Markets responded positively to the announcement. Shares of Securitize jumped by more than 10% following the news, with coverage describing the move as a surge tied to the unveiling of blockchain-based tokenized stock trading. The sources do not supply a closing price or further trading details.
The launch adds to a growing push to bring conventional securities onto public blockchains, where assets can be held and transferred in tokenized form. By pairing real share backing with preserved shareholder rights and a Solana-based rollout, Securitize is positioning the product as a regulated-style bridge between traditional equities and onchain markets. Details on eligibility requirements and fees were not included in the material reviewed by FXMARE.
