What it is
Statistics Canada's Labour Force Survey reports the monthly net change in the number of employed people, split between full-time and part-time roles, alongside the unemployment rate and participation rate.
Why it matters to traders
Canadian jobs data is notoriously volatile, which makes large surprises common and impactful for the loonie. The full-time/part-time mix and wage-growth detail matter as much as the headline for the Bank of Canada's thinking.
